Two initiatives to improve Saggas’ energy efficiency receive a grant from the IVACE

These grants, which represent around 50,000 euros, are 50% co-financed by the European Union within the ERDF Operational Programme of the Valencian Community 2014-2020.

The Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) has awarded two grants to Saggas for two initiatives implemented at the plant to improve its energy efficiency for a value of around 50,000 euros. These grants are part of the 2019 call for aids in energy efficiency in industry and in tertiary sector buildings.

Particularly, within the framework of the energy saving and efficiency program in industry, Saggas has received a grant of 43,392.30 euros to improve the energy efficiency of the plant by installing a variable speed drive in the primary pumps. Likewise, within the energy saving and efficiency program in buildings, IVACE has awarded a grant of € 6,198.49 to replace conventional lights with LED lights in the Saggas office building. Both projects will allow an improvement in the energy efficiency of the system, achieving greater energy savings and avoiding the associated CO2e emissions.

Both grants are 50% co-financed by the European Union, within the FEDER Operational Programme of the Valencian Community 2014-2020 through Axis 4, which aims to promote the transition to a low-carbon economy in all sectors.
