Saggas participates in the second edition of the Sagunto Industry Forum focused on Corporate Social Responsibility

Saggas participated on September 22nd in the second edition of the Sagunto Industry Forum, promoted by the Department of Economic and Industrial Promotion of the town’s City Council. The forum, whose title was Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Valencian Company: towards a Business Model committed to Sustainable Development, sought to show the work of the business sector to achieve the goals of the UN’s 2030 Agenda.

Laura Marco, Head of Human Resources & Legal Services at Saggas, participated in the Examples of Good CSR Practices round table, presenting the plant’s experience in this area. During the meeting, Laura Marco explained that Saggas’ CSR is an intrinsic part of the plant’s daily operation in its different areas: corporate governance, environment, labor policy and community welfare. The head of HR & Legal Services also wanted to emphasize the key role Saggas’ workers play in achieving the CSR goals set by the company.

Likewise, Laura Marco explained that the process of implementing CSR in Saggas was carried out slowly, encouraging small companies to put CSR policies and practices in place in their daily work since any contribution, no matter how small it may seem, is a further step towards the achievement of the 2030 Agenda goals.
