31 Mar Saggas receives EcoVadis gold medal
The Sagunto regasification plant has been awarded the EcoVadis gold medal for its strong performance in sustainability.
This year, the company achieved an overall score of 80 out of 100, placing it among the top 4% of companies in its sector and in the 98th percentile of all companies evaluated by this corporate sustainability assessment platform. EcoVadis evaluates companies’ sustainability in four areas: environment, labor and human rights practices, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
Specifically, Saggas received its highest score (84 points) in the environmental category. In addition, the plant improved its scores from last year in labor and human rights practices (82 points) and ethics (81 points), ranking in the top 1% of the sector in the latter. Although EcoVadis analysts noted an improvement in the company’s performance in sustainable procurement compared to the previous year, they also indicated that there is still room for improvement in this area.
